Allowance...

Recently we got tired of hearing "i want" repeated over and over everywhere we went. So we implimented allowance and that the kids had to earn their own "i want" money. It is amazing how much more they enjoy things they buy themselves!!!! We took the kids to walmart last week and let them choose something to buy with their own money...London bought a barbie kite and Camden bought a big soft baseball. We took them to the park the next day, and had a ball! Fortunately barbie doesn't need a lot of wind to fly... but she was a big hit with both of the kids... not bad for a dollar! And after the kids were worn out from running around the field so much we all went out for ice cream... What a fun night! Now london is saving for a pony ride at the zoo and a barbie..only one more week and she can have both!
