News At the Howell House!!

Thats right many of you (including us!!!) have been anticipating the arrival of our new baby girl. She came into this world on Saturday June 16th at 7:55 am. She weighed in at 5lbs 15oz and measured 19.25 in in length. The Doctor had decided that due to Ali's history of fast labor that an induction was the only option for this birth. We decided that he could break the water and then see what happened. Yea it happened and so quick everybody was shocked. The doctor broke her water and stated he would return in about two hours to see if any progress had been made. After breaking her water and a short discussion he left the room and within five minutes the baby was out and on the table. We were sure our doctor would be ther this time for the delivery but yet again we are 3 out of 3 for having it without them there. The baby is doing wonderful now. The labor was so fast that the baby didn't get enough squeeze to pump all of the fluids out of her lungs and allow her to breath normally so she spent a few hours under observation in the NICU, but thanks to wonderful staff and our little girls strong will she came up to the well baby nursery and up with us after only 6 hours, she is doing great. We feel so blessed to have this new little one in our lives and thank all of you for your continued support and Love.
